Default extended warrantys, are they any good ?

My manufactures warranty is soon to expire, thinking of buying a extended warranty, are they any good? Which company’s have a good/bad reputation?

im with motor care. theyve paid out twice in the first year for me on an inlet manifold & DMF. if you are to purchase a warranty just read the small print carefuly. as there could be claim limits or an excess etc. another crafty one which mine intailed was the car had to be fully serviced within 30 days of purchase of the warranty. just be careful as they are there to make a profit & everyones car has some sort of problem at the end of the day.

I have the 1.8 petrol and even though it's not prone to the issues experienced by dervs, i still plan to extend my 12 month Network Q warranty upto 3 years.

If you plan to keep a car thats more than 3 years old, the warranty should pay for itself as long as you stick to the conditions of the warranty. (ie keep to the service intervals)

click 4 warrenty is cheap, but read the small print first,
i got 4 star for £240 for 2 years, can claim upto 3k on every claim but not more than the car is worth, down as 5k,

only thing is i have to pay 20% of the bill as its done 72k, every 10k it goes up by 10%
