Default Swapping sat nav from one vectra to another?

Is it possible to swap the sat nav from a 2005 SRI CDTI to the same car on a 2007 plate?
Is it just a case of swapping the units and the screens?
And does the car without the satnav have the wiring to fit it?
    Many thanks

yep you would also need to make sure there both the same network
2005 may be half multiplexed (3buttons on both sides of the steering wheel) whereas 2007 should be fully multiplexed (scroller wheels on steering wheel) otherwise there could be issues ...although Kman's recently managed a conversion ....
and you would also need the roof loom and aerial as these house the gps antennas and associated wiring
and possibly the radio wiring loom

Well assuming you have the looms in your car (a big assumption I think!) and they are both fully multiplexed (canbus radios) the proceedure for a swap would be to go to a garage with tech 2 capability.

Then get them to devorce both the display and the radio from both cars. (I think you need your code card to do this) after this is done you can then physically swap them over in the cars.

Then get them too code the radio and display into the respective cars. If the looms are there, all done! Remember you will also need a garage with a licence to devorce parts as some garages don't have it.

    In simple terms, good luck!

    Or anyone with Opcom...

    Its how i did mine

But yeah, the Screen AND the unit both need divorcing or you will not be able to pair them up at all.

lol there's a lot of misguiding information here

First of all they don't need to be divorced from donor car ! as long as you have radio and screen from same car they will be fine reason being for the umpteenth time they are paired together and not paired to the car.
However if you can get the security pass from donor car it will be a bonus
If your car is full canbus then it will more than likely have all the necessary wires all ready in place as i think later preface cars have the 32 pin TID screen if not it will be easy enough to fit.
If your getting all this from a scrapped car then you can strip the roof aerial and aerial loom out this will be easy enough to fit after wards and gives you the OEM look

Only thing you should check is whether its a NCDC or CD70 radio in the 2005 SRI
