That applies to any AC speciallist as they're not permitted to knowingly disperse the refirgerant gas into the atmosphere.

Something like £40 to £45 - they won't charge you anything though if they cannot improve the coldness of your AC by more than 10% or if you have a leak.

Cheaper in winter though. something like £25.

did mine and it stopped working after a few weeks, took it back and they re-did it testing for leaks and adding the UV dye to show any small leaks after finding that although the pressure was ok there was not enough refrigerant. touch wood been ok since (four weeks) oh and the 2nd regas and leak test was done for free.

As it was explained to me when I had the Omega checked and refilled at KF Shrewsbury, the only real difference between their machine and kit used by an AC specialist is that their machine only performs a pressure test to confirm the integrity of your system, whereas an AC specialist would also perform a vacuum test to confirm the system integrity on top of the pressure test but also to confirm correct operation of the AC compressor.

That true at 90% of the branches but a certain proportion are trialling a full repair service for example in my case the original recharge was done at crossgates in leeds who have the basic kit, but hunslet road are one of the trial repair branches (hense the UV Dye etc) was impressed by the service, the guy even phoned me back to book in when the refrigerant was back in.
