    confused 2.0T Leak!!! Please help?

Got up today to find a small pool of coolant at the front of the car on the drivers side.

Putting my fingers between the gaps under the bumper, it feels like it's coming from a metal pipe/joint at the bottom of the third rad (closest to the engine).

This is my first Vec C and my first Turbo so I'm a bit lost with this car atm.
Will it be ok to use rad-weld as a short term solution till I can get the rads out?

Is this rad I'm on about the intercooler?

Could the water be coming from somewhere else?

    Any advice gratefully received.

    Thanks.

    hi mate,
ive just changed all the rads on my 2.0l turbo. the one your on about is the water rad, its closest to the fan, the middle rad is the intercooler and the front rad is air con. the water rad on the drivers side only has 1 hose going to it at the top where it comes out the thermostat housing, there is also a drain plug at the bottom on the drivers side, it shouldn't of come loose but worth a look.

Cheers Stu, will have a look at that later after the footie.

Is rad-weld safe to use on this engine if the worst comes to the worst?

Just very short of time atm and money cos I'm right in the middle of moving house, slowly lol, so need a quick fix for now.

Ive never had any joy with rad weld tbh, used it on my old mon st200 thought it had done the trick but lost all the water and done the head gasket

i put a new rad on mine it was £60 from car spares. rather be safe than sorry but all depends, yours might be a hose etc etc
    good luck
