Another Mod - can you spot it??

I been looking at doing this for ages......!








So the other day I ordered a New Style Griffin Badge, and then ripped mine off the back, only to find that the Hatch tailgate has 2 holes in it instead of 1.

So not being one to back down and after MUCH deliberation, I thought , its got to go on.

So I butchered the old badge and kept the surround circle, sanded the inside edges down and used this to cover the one outer hole. JOB DONE.

Then I used the new style Griffin badge to cover the other one.

To be honest, I prefer it this way as the new style griffin badge was 53mm and looked a little diddy on the back, the surround chrome circle makes it look the correct size.

But what a pain in the buttock, had to take it one and off about 4 times to get it centred and cover up both holes adequetely.

Looks good, its hard with silver but when mine got taken of the back of my black astra i just stuck black insulation tape over the holes...

It eventually got welded/sprayed, but i forgot for 6 months

Looks familiar! I did the same on my last Astra SRi back in December 2008.



Not sure it looks right on the Vectra B though. I have thought about doing the upgrade on my convertible Astra, but like the Vectra B, I think the Astra G is too old to carry the new style badge.

Looks good on the Astra. Colour coded V helps.

I was the same once I realised the new one wouldnt fit without some mod'ing, but did it anyway. I thought , ive bought it now may as well stick it on.
