Default MOT FAIL - Cracked Alloy - HELP?! :(

As above, my car failed it's MOT today . Apparently the nearside rear alloy (19'' snowflake) is cracked.
It's a crack which was previously welded.

    What would you do?

    a. Have it repaired. (cost? where? can it be done again?)
    b. Source a new one (any sources please?)

One went on ebay for 40 quid recent, other wise your looking at 200 even on ebay...

I'd repair it (dont know price) and source another in time. this repaired one can make a nice spare...

So the repair has cracked again? thats not good

I'd source a new one - or a good used one.
Now I need a turbo to keep up!

The only way it could have cracked again is if the first crack was not gouged out completly then re welded, if you are going to weld it again make sure you completly gouge out the crack, to help you find out if the crack is gone you need to do some sort of non destructive test ie spray crack detection spray over the affected area and it will show you if the crack has completly gone.

    I had the same problem - http://www.vectra-c.com/forum/showthread.php?t=93316

I ended up buying a brand new alloy wheel off eBay for £100 and then sold the damaged one on eBay and advertised it as this so that it was at the buyers onus... I can tell you I made my money back.
