Default Rear brake pad help please !!

Ok, had my car services, rear pads need replacing.

Dealer offered to do the pads for around £6,999 (Not much of an exageration, would you believe lol!!) So I said Ill do it myself !

Ive been looking at the EBC Green stuff pads, not much of a price difference really so it must be worth getting some better ones.

Thing is, are they really better ? If so, will it effect the car at all, having powefull brake pads on the rear and half worn standard ones on the front ?

    Thanks !

To be honest mate the rears do so little of the braking you might as well stick with the standard ones. I picked up a disc and pad set for the vented rears for 45 quid from a dealership, so if you search round the solids should be fairly cheap...

Edit: oh, and 7 grand for rear pads seems a bit steep...

The best thing about green stuff pads are the fact they don't give off much dust.

You be suprised lol !! They quoted £120 actually.

Suppose I may aswell get the normal ones then, Are the greens noticeably better for the front ?

That would be nice. The front at the moment are very very dusty pads.

I didn't know that they did carbon fibre pads and discs for Vauxhalls
