    Default Tailgaiters aaarrgh

The last couple of nights returning home from work, I have been plagued with people trying their best to drive into my boot.

I hate this with a passion and I have a secret weapon, My front screenwash is so powerful that is is capable of splattering the car behind if it is driving close enough. This has been enough to make some n**s back off in their nice shiny cars.

So the question is, what experiences have you had with tailgaiters and how have you reacted?

I find slowing down ever so slightly to below the speed limit usually makes them either back off or overtake you. Once gone problem solved. My old man used to just put the handbrake on (no brake lights) and scare them. It's ok until someone hits you in the back.

I used to slam the anchors quickly in my old car but I dont want to damage this one, the last car I had got hit in the back 3 times on the same sliproad (i was stationary every time) the last one was enough to write it off, the guy was doing 30 when he hit me, hence why i dont like tail gaiting.

Edit: just read the above and i'd like to add i was stationary at a roundabout waiting for traffic to clear from the right, not because i'd slammed on to irritate a tailgator

TBH the standard of some peoples driving is nothing short of disgraceful. Just tonite on the way back from Edinburgh I had some clown pull out of a side road behind me, overtake me then whilst hard on the brakes pull in front of me and cut me up, to get into the slip road for the M9/M8 spur. Lane discipline is my bug bare tbh. I hate these idiots that cut across 3 lanes on a round about rather than follow the lines and keep everyone safe. Some people think saving one second is far more important................

Get a sticker to put in your rear window...

    'CAMERA EQUIPPED'

.... amazing the effect it has on most people..... can;t think why.

Had this tonight on my way home, some idiot in an Escort right on my ass, I'm doing slightly over 70 on dual carriageway and he goes past me then slows down to 70 meaning i have to overtake him again. Oldish guy with 3 passengers. Pointless.

if I was in my old R reg 306 i would have dropped a gear, let the idiot hit me then get some whiplash compo, job done!

i wait till i'm near any kind of traffic lights or crossing then dab the brakes, worst case they hit me and when they pull the dangerouse driving lark(braking for no reason) i can say i had to slow down for the lights changing, end result all blame on them.

admitedly i do slam on brakes when faced with ppl up my arse. as for dangerous driving if they hit me... well sorry officer but a little bunny wabbit run out on to the road. besides if ur hit from behind its pretty much always other persons fault under the eyes of the law.
