I used wynns super charger the other day the one for petrol and diesel cars and it seems great engine really gone quiet now aswell foe a diesel engine seems more solid
Used ZX1 in a cavi sri a few years back was getting an extra 40 miles from a tank of petrol so that defiantly worked, ran a lot cooler too.
Ordered today several QMI products: Metal treatment for both engine and auto gearbox, engine cleaner, turbo cleaner, treatment for cooling system and power steering, and finally some diesel-booster. Looking forward to put it in within the next weeks
Have used it on former cars, bikes, grascutters and other small-engines, with great success.
its got to be slick 50 its the best thing you can do for your engine
I have used slick50 in the past, TBH couldt say it made a difference, other than the placebo effect.
Are any recommended for use in the 1.9CDTi engine?
I've tried lots of different products, all useless IMO , other that it made the oil leve light come on in the wifes old car, almost as soon as I put it in,
Now I just use Mobil1 oil, saves the bother of using the stuff
I've used slick50 in the passed, did'nt do much other than i gained very slight MPG increase.
The best course of action for anyone interested in engine longevity/maintenance is to change the oil twice a year, i always have with all my cars and never had engine problems.
Over service them and engines will thank you for it.
They are mostly anti wear additives that are in moden oils anyway. They will make a difference as they coat everything to help prevent wear, however they also coat the tiny oil ways making them smaller - although have no idea how much smaller!
Enough to make a difference?
Maybe, maybe not anyone know for sure as I guess its only a few microns.
I have been doing a lot of research on the web relating to oil and the right grades to put in your car.On nearly all the sights the manufacturers do not recommend you to use them at all.Absolutely.They say that the varnish and coatings that have built up over the years, protect the engine and that by adding these detergents, which in lots of cases are very aggressive, can cause damage by removing these coatings.IMHO,I think you should steer well clear of them.Oil companies spend millions of pounds refining and developing oils and in lots of cases, your putting back the products that they have already removed.FELIXX.
