I'd say on a preface lift you would mate, but if the seller says the will work without hold them to it.
the hids i have now in my dipped beam dont need one but the set before did need one???? i want to put them in my high beam, i know people say turning them on and of doesnt do them much good but that dont really bother me. lol ill have to look tomorrow if the ones i have in are 35 or 55 as the first set was 35 but cheap ones.
I'ver got HID Direct 50w on my preface Signum, with no cancellors, and no problems at all yet.
The safety aspect might bother you though due to the delay in them coming on. Say if you wanted to flash your lights at someone in an emergency, you won't be able to, nor will you be able to flash someone out of a junction.
ps, is there such a thing as a 55W HID kit? I thought they were either 35W or 50W. Sorry if that sounds pedantic.
