Default any ideas on this pipe guys

had the top cover off the engine tonight (1.9 cdti 120) and noticed the small vac pipe over the vacuum pump, red arrow pointing to it in the pic, was sweating oil. So took it off to give it a wipe and check for splits and its full of engine oil..... does anyone know if this is normal??? or has the cam seal gone between the vac pump and the cam cover?

Its a vacuum pipe mate and not an oil one and is talked about as a replaceable item in this thread:

hey plasma, as far as i can see it goes from the bottom front side of the vacuum pump, then connects to the metal pipe in the pic, which then goes down the back of the engine to the vacuum box.

UPDATE,,,,,, had it checked by two local mechnaics and they both say its the seals in the vac pump failing, allowing engine oil into the pump. There should be NO oil in the vac pipe at all,so if any of you guys experience the same thing,,,,,,,pumps knackered!!!

Got it on order as its dealer part only and will be changing it next sat.

had a look today at next saturdays job, swapping vac pump, looks like just three bolts but does anyone know how to release the brake servo vac pipe from the pump. its the one in the pic with the yellow connector at the top of the pump. I just cant figure it out and dont want to break it.
