    Default aluminium footrest

    does anyone do a footrest cover for the cdti,i've just started making one at work out of 3mm ali plate.i've cut the plate just need to set out where to drill the holes and counter sink them and i'll get it fitted.this will just cover the top face ,i am now thinking that forming a complete rest in 1 piece may be better even though it will mean bending it all from 1 sheet. any comments appreciated,thanks

    I'm pretty sure the footrest is the same regardless of engine - you don't need one specific to the cdti.

    all footrest's are the same size, yes i do make them and i decided that the full cover was not worth the hastle as bending the ally without some form of distortion was a pita to say the least....

    i've got the plate cut just needs drilling ,but i may go for the full 1 piece as i can get the plate bent using a proper sheet bender i'll post pics if i ever finish it

    It'll be good to see, but i think the pic above probably matches the pedals more as they dont curve much etc....

    got the plate bent to 90 degrees just got to cut it out and drill it ,i'm hoping to exactly copy the moulded plastic one and replace it
