Default Vectra 2.0 DTI Oil Filter Housing

    Hi

On my oil filter housing their is a star like shape screw in the top and also my air filter housing has the same screws.

Is there a tool to undo these if so does anyone know where i can get it?

    Thanks

My old 2.0DTi had a large 32mm ( i think)? Star bit on the filter housing. Is this the one your talking about?

Halfrauds do them, or Ebay, which is where i got mine from.

ahh 36mm! That would be it!

Yeah the filter housing is a 36mm bit. you can get special Oil Filter removal ones though, there slimmer than a normal bit to allow you to get them in.

Yes and no, it's easy to replace the filter but trying to get the car started again is somewhat of an art lol

The fuel filter is at the back of the engine bay by bulkhead on the right side i think???

It has two? pipes going into it (Largish), the top is held on by a torx bolt.

To replace, undo the single bolt, lift top off, pop out filter, new one in, top up with diesel (if you want) put top on then screw up!
