Well, this just gives us a chance to laugh at all the English people who think they can WIN the World Cup now just because you SCRAPPED through the group stages!

Well if it gives you something to cheer you up in Scotland, that's good - after all you must just weep when you watch your own national team. Mind you, that can't be very often as they never get to play too many games in any tournaments do they.

Nah, just all my English friends have a sense of humour so I thought you guys did too. Guess I was wrong. dh.dti and a few others seem to understand its all a bit of banter.

Well done, now personally hearing the commentator mentioning knock out stages and winning the world cup in the same sentence was just applaudable, currently the english team are not good enough to win it,

Saying that the way ze germans played last night looks asif you may have a very good chance to get through to the next stage, but knowing the german style of play they will sit back and once they have injured most of the english team they will counter strike and score

Being a Scot working in England i had to keep my Slovenian football top on under my shirt

but as big knox said, its all banter, some cant take it and some can, if you cant dont reply, simple....

don't think any sane fan believes this english side will actually win the cup -- however, getting into the last 16 isn't a bad showing at all.
i don't see them getting any further - not good enough for Q-finals.

probably a 2-0 defeat by the germans in normal time, or they'll go out on penalties are my two guesses.

Sorry, just being realistic.
