    Default Tyre pressure

    Short of looking in my hand book ot check.
    What is the "new" tyre pressure I need to put in my 225/45/17,s I did have 215/50/17,s.

    i would still say anywhere between 34 and 36psi leaning towards 36 if they were mine

    Same pressure as before Ed - at least that's what my handbook said when I went from 215/50/17 to 225/45/17 and I think it even stayed the same when I went to 225/40/18

    2004 3.2 V6
    Think they should be the same as mine (3.0 V6 CDTI posted below)
    38 / 35 on 215/50R17
    39 / 35 on 225/45R17

    From memory the 3.2 V6 is slightly higher at 42

    They should certainly be higher than 33 if they are XL, which they should be

    I think I put 33 all round in my goodyear nxt,s. They have worn leval and equal, on all 4 tyres.
    "oh" the tyre wear rating number. Is a higher number a harder rubber (lasts longer, but less grip).
