It looks like star silver but no Lacquer mate. Its the lacquer that gives it its brightness. It could even be star silver 2 which is a Vec B shade and slightly darker than Vec C star silver 3.

i would go to halford's or car spares shop that sell's paint and ask if you can compare the lid's to the trim colour...

That HU is not from a Vectra, you could find what VX its from and then you can get its trim description, like the Vec is marked down as charcoal.....

Cheers, i'll have a nip to halfords and take my ashtray and have a look at star silver II... It pretty much matches now but the ashtray has a few light marks on it and the centre trim panel. But dint fancy sprating that if the door ones dont match. Dint fancy a bit job, just a touch up...
