Park close to a sturdy brick wall. Using an assistant, you'll need a wheel brace (one of those star type ones) and a hydraulic jack (a small bottle jack will do). Hold wheel brace on the bolt and place jack between the wall and the other end of the star brace, and then operate the jack to push the star brace onto the bolt. This will help prevent it from slipping off. Now turn the wheel brace to undo the bolt. Use the assistant where necessary to hold things steady.

I had a problem with my locking nuts when i got the car because some grease monkey had put them on with an air gun. Lucky for me, i found out when i changed the front pads. Not by getting a puncture in the middle of nowhere and not being able to get the wheel off. The best thing for you to do is what i did. Take it down to a tyre place or garage. I took mine to National Tyres. Only because it's the closest one to my house. Ask them to take all four off with the air gun. Takes seconds. The air gun is on the locking nut square and true, if you try to do it with a bar you will chew the end and round it off. Get yourself down to your local tyre place. National Tyres did mine for free. I put my hand in my pocket and gave him a drink. Would have cost me loads if i had got a puncture, chewed the ends or sheared them off. Hope you manage to get them off. Good luck... GOKARTIN....!!!!

It was hooligans with an air gun in the garage that killed mine - then made me pay for a new key

I now carry a breaker bar and socket, so I can loosen them easier and get on them dead square, rather than use the stress inducing angled brace supplied.
