Not sure there's any easy way to take swirl marks without the use of a machine polisher. There are relatively cheaper ways than buying a heavy 9inch professional polisher, Screwfix do a semi decent one for £20.
    Auto Polisher

I have one and it works reasonably well.

Give something like this a blast, its meant to work
    http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Meguiars-Swirl...item3f00652d68

or i use autoglym clay detailing kit and autoglym deep gloss shine, seems to work pretty good on mine.
Its the only trouble with black cars, when the sun shines on it they look terrible

    it's maddening.

Cleaned and polished my black vec and Silver Zafira yesterday.

Zafira good as new this morning.
Black Vec covered in dust and watermarks from overnight dew.

I have to polish every time I wash to cover up the swirls.

I used Chemical Guys 3 in 1 cutting polish (another from CG's is spider scratch and swirl remover good for hologram swirls and such) and found it excellent a LOAD! of hard grunt though if you are up for that then you will be fine Meguiers also do a great product but try an avoid things like T-Cut as it is far to aggressive IMHO

I have found the best product (in my opinion) is Meguiars ultimate compound. It cuts the paint beautifully but without any of the damage associated with the likes of AG paint renovator/T-cut. Type ultimate compound into youtube and you'll see a promo video

That looks like good stuff. I tried their ScratchX and it is very hard work. Takes ages to have any useful effect at all, however it does work eventually. My car had swirls from a carwash and it left a few swirls but they were reduced a lot.
