Default PLEEEEASE HELP - traction control light/power steering light on!!!

Many many thanks to all who can offer anything in regrds to my problem. I have a Holden Vectra 3.2 v6 2006 model cdxi. ( I am in Australia)
Everything is running perfectly on it and I have only had it 3 months. It has 75,000 k's on it.
I just had the timing belt and water pump done (early to avoid any problems) and it runs nicely.
today the traction control light came on and is now on permanently and after a few seconds after starting the power steering light also comes on but the steering is fine (not heavy at all). The other thing I noticed is the left and right indicators dont cancel now after I have turned a corner and the wheel returns to the centre position.....I have to cancel them myself.
What the heel could have happened?? I was driving along normally....nothing unusual occurred. I have read a few posts but cant seem to find a result. Please help and thanks again in advance.

the CIM is the interface module that houses your indicators and wipers - but is a clever box of tricks that feeds information to and from the associated ecu's it needs to be calibrated when fitted (steering wheel angle sensor etc) but if it goes wrong then it can cause all sorts of issues

thanks guys I appreciate your input.
So...I disconnected the battery and disconnected the abs plugs and the plug on the cim and reconnected to enure it wasnt a connection problem. After reconnect everything ok for a while then after driving about 10 minutes the traction control light came on again, then the power steering warning, then the blinkers stop self cancelling and my windows only go down and up if I hold the switches (no auto up/down) and this only starts happening when the warning lights come on. At first after powere disconnected and reconnected everything works fine.
Even with all this going on the car is running fine and the power steering is full (no steering loss) so you would have to say it is this CIM unit that is stuffed would you agree??
That being the case, any of you know where I can buy one??? happy to buy it from the UK ...anywhere but here really ,it will cost more than the car to buy it here.

That is exactly what mine did, dealership reckoned it could be one of two things so replaced the original CIM module (retaining the original just in case it wasn't faulty)

At first I had the Traction Control and Power Steering warning light
I then noticed if I used the indicators they did not cancel!

On resetting the ignition the problem stopped, until the Traction Control light came on again, followed by the Power Steering warning

It only happened twice, the second time I took a photo of the panel, printed it and took it to the dealership as proof

Seem to be quite a few on eBay UK, looks like there are three versions for the Vectra C
Check with your local dealership as to what the item number is
It then needs to be paired to the car via TEC2

Thanks again guys for all your help. Ok an update:
The dealerships here are disgusting. They are of no help and like to bleed as much money out of you as possible so I detest having to go to them. However I called to book it in for a check. Cost is $100 to have it hooked up to the computer just to tell me whats wrong. Out of curiosity I asked them how much to install and fit a new CIM. The answer $1800 !!!!!
I then told him I could get a second hand depaired one from the UK. He said I would have to fit a new one as you can not depair them?? However the one I am looking at in the uk says it has been depaired by tech2. I am confident the problem is the CIM so I am cancelling my booking and I think I will buy one from the UK and fit it myself and the dealership can pair it to my car.
I need to know guys....if this unit I buy has truly been depaired...and is this actually possible....can I just install it and take the car up to the dealer with my keys and they should just pair it to my car?? is it that simple??
Shouldnt a depaired unit be exactly the same as installing a new unit??
    Thanks again.

Cant help you with the pairing of the CIM mate, but when you disconnect the battery you have to reset the windows to auto. All you have to do is hold the window down button, keep it held down for a few seconds when it gets to the end of its travel until you hear aq click, then do the same but hold up, this will reset the windows one at a time. I would expect that you would have to swap the CIM module at the dealership, as it also controls the immobilizer function.

Not sure if the reset CIM may allow the car to start upto about three times before locking in the immobilized state.

If not, then the CIM would need to be fully programmed and paired to the keys and other modules in the car - a lengthy process. - before it will allow the car to be driven.

$1800 sounds alot, normally Australian prices are approx double UK pounds.
In the uk, we expect to get a CIM and have it programmed in for about £500, so approx $1000 in Australia.

There are several Vauxhall independents in the UK, so I would think that there would be similar Holden specialists in Australia.
Do you not have a Holden Forum, that has better "local" knowledge?
