    Question Recirculate air intake -where?

    Hi all,

When the ventilation system is set to use recirculated air, where does the air come from? I assume that there's an intake duct somewhere in the cabin, but where?

    Thanks!

I think they are under the driver and passenger seats.

I think it draws air from under the dash board and passes it out through the vents. Spikey I thought the vents under the seat were to warm/cool the rear seat passengers.

Isn't that what the vents in the centre console are for?

I think the black oval(ish) ducts under the passenger seats are outlets - turn the fan on full and there's a bit of a breeze down there. I guessed that maybe air was drawn in under the dash somewhere but couldn't see anywhere obvious...

Its behind the glovebox , all it is is a flap that shuts the outside supply off , and then does what it says on the tin , recirculates the air in the cabin.

Sorry Dennis, I'm not talking about the flap/valve. What I was wondering is: When the flap is closed, where does the air on the inlet side of the ventilation fan come from?

So when it just recirculates the air, where does it suck it in, to blow it out is what he is asking...
