    Default high performance sports saloon???

    cut a long story short just spoke to insurance company and was told the cars insurance is high as the car is classed as a high performance sports saloon,now the car in question is my vectra sri 1.8vvt,hardly a performance car in my book as i thought that title went to thelikes of RS4S and high powered mercs etc, im flabbergastered lol

    The excuses insurance companies use are amazing!

    I phoned the insurance company this morning to let them know I'm moving in Jan and because I'd be living in the rural town where I work my annual mileage will reduce from 15k to about 6k. They've promptly increased my premium. When I asked why it costs more to live in a safer, quieter area and drive less they told me it was because the house I'm moving to is older than the one I live in now..

    I still can't work out how the hell that has any bearing on the car but its only an increase of £2 a month so I'll just have to accept it.

    lol thats strange mate, when i did take out my insurance theyput my address as number 17but i live at 15(next door), so phoned and told them and it went 3 quid a month, from next ****** door

    How do you stand if like carlsondavid33, the vehicle has been visually made 'sportier' i.e - changing wheels and paint schemes etc...

    in my younger and stupider days id of not told them but these days i have family andhave grew up alot so i did declare everything and it just come bk with a quote so i dont have a before and after quote to see what differences the mods make
