    Default Electric windows (Front)

Do the electric windows on the Vectra C work even when the key is out the ignition? Mine are, I have been wiring things up today and I may have done something wrong, as I am sure the electric windows don't work when the key is out the ignition

Just unlocked the car and went straight to the window switch and they work still, no key in the ignition.

Yep, perfectly normal. Windows will work from drivers door being opened and will then deactivate after a time-delay or until car is locked.

by opening the car you engage the windows again, as long as they are not going up and down without you operating the switches you are fine they switch on and off on their own they all do it I was out in mine today and while cleaning it the window switches were operational without the key, so to speak

I am sure mine never used to work like that, my girlfriend seems to think it's changed. I will be happy when I can't make them work. I will have to sit in the car for 10 mins with the door closed and see how things go lol. Cheers
