    Question Insignia vibration

    Hi,

I've got a 2010 (my2010.5) Insignia 2.0 CDTi SRi 160 5d Hatch and have noticed a vibration that comes through the seat headrest when, for example, waiting at traffic lights etc..

It's a noticable vibration but you need to rest your head back against the headrest and is more pronounced when the footbrake is held.

I was wondering if anyone else has experienced it and if this was normal and if so, what causes it?

    Thanks,
    Darren

I was wondering if anyone had the same model as me if they might be able to try it when next out, see if they get it too?? :-)

    confused

Mine's on 18" alloys - could that make a difference?

It's not a violent vibration but it is noticable.

In fact, if you put your head back on the passenger seat during driving, you can feel vibration and every road defect almost.

This is the 1st diesel I've had, used to petrol, and I wasn't sure if this was just a "normal" vibration from dielsels??

I think (and I'm just guessing) that the vibration I can feel through the headrest, when waiting at a junction for example, is vibration from the engine... but I would have thought I shouldn't feel this in the seat! ???????

Mines on 19" wheels. Vauxhall would not add a larger wheel size if they suspected it would have ill effects on the car.

It wont be the 18ins wheels mate. My car is running on the cheapest tyres money can buy on my 18ins alloys. And I dont get that vibration . I even tried shoving my head back against the headrest today whilst driveing the car. No vibration at all.
