Default Hi all Im trying to solve this problem

I have a 2005 55 reg vx estate 19 cdti 150. Had it for approx 8 months with no problems until the EGR valve went, I have had this replaced, that solved that problem but found that the bar on the swirl flaps had come of, I managed to get the bar back on. Now I'm getting a juddering at low rpm and it feels sluggish on the motorway doing around 70 - 80 mph just wondering if anybody could help.

I have tried putting redex in with diesel and tried using bp diesel instead of anybodys have been doing so for around a month now.

The engine number is 17008642 so looking on hear it doesn't appear to be the third injector plug.

    UPDATE

Hi all changed my boost pipes put some silicone ones on, had my inlet manifold replaced yesterday to the cost of £500 this included 4 hours labour and a diagnostic check which said there were no faults at all. Drove it back from the garage and still having the same problem as before it feels like it judders when you are crusing. If your firm with the accelarator then you dont notice it is there anything else this might be as it's becoming frustrating

I also reckon the juddering points towards the 3rd injector. £15 DIY job, worth doing!

I had someone look at the third injector wire and it looked ok. there was no corrosion on it but you never know it may still be faulty so I will give it a try for that kind of price.

    Hi

Today I have done the following...

    Changed the boost valve pipes,
Cleaned the EGR valve (and as much of the inlet as i could get to with the carb cleaner),
    Cleaned the boost sensor,
    Changed the diesel filter and
Replaced the alternator (cos it died)
    Air box mod

Busy day, but what a difference!! Got rid of the same cruising 'judder' you describe (touch wood).

I found the boost sensor caked in crap, EGR valve sticking (solenoid moved freely but drilled the hole anyway and greased it up), and the fuel filter nicely gunked up, all on a 37,000 mile engine.

I reckon if you try this lil lot it will solve a lot of your problems. really hoping this is it, the car and spanner light didn't even come on so fingers crossed this is everything sorted for now
