Front brake discs

Hi just got a set of front discs for my 1.9 sri. There seems to be a sort of grey powder coating on them. anyone know if this needs to be removed before fitting? Any ones i have replaced before usually has an anti rust coating that just wipes off. Thanks

Nope, it will polish off as you drive. within a few miles it will be gone

Agreed, it will just wear away as the brakes bed in.

Hi i got them from AutoVaux £51+Delivery for discs and pads. Unfortunately they are still in the box as my locking nut broke while trying to get the front wheel off!!

also got a set of Mintex front 302's if anyone wants to make an offer as initially ordered the wrong size.
