Default Which Parrot Kit do you have?

    Hello!

I am looking into getting a parrott kit (MKi Series)

Im not sure on which one though?

I am looking at the MKi9000 and 9100 mainly (due to cost), and that a ISO block is also available for only £20

Question is on the 9000 it says it shows the informatio, but um where, i see no displays :S

    Any Help/Advice appreciated.

i have a mki9000 there are no displays but on selection of the functions it talks to you so when you turn the wheel it says
"settings" "ipod" "line in" "usb" "phonebook" etc etc

its a great descreet system and the sound is fantastic

ahh thats how that one works.

Its the cheapest which is quite helpful (£100) a colour screen would probably just distract me in all honesty lol

the 9200 is a good system, my mate has it in his Focus ST, the SD card you can pop in is also a bit of a bonus, but im finding them for £140 which is alot in all honesty..

Have you guys got the proper iso connectors, or have you soldered into the wiring?

ran the proper SOT lead connectors -

the sounds the same as the mki9200 the only difference is the screens on the range so the blue box is the same - even has the connectors for the screens on them - in theory you could update to a screen at a later date and flash the unit with the firmware from the more expensive models

yes mate it is .... only word of warning i would add is before you connect it to the vehicle ensure NO ONE has their bluetooth on as this can corrupt the parrotbox before you start as it wont allow the remote to pair - i know that when they first came out a local installer managed to corrupt most of his initial stock so thought they were duff and sold off his remaining stock cheap ..i paid £150 for two units from him and it was installer error

make sure the remote is Paired and THEN and only then connect the phone to the parrot kit

You can pair the remote by holding down the red and the green and pressing the play button while powering up the unit. I think that is the combo.

I have the mki9200 and has lost the pairing to the remote twice in a year hence I found out the above, its on the parrot forum but well hidden
