Right someone has planted a seed in my head so it has to be done!!

I want to tint/smoke out my reverse lights on rear lights, so it will blend in with my newly painted chrome(now black) strip on boot

i used a self tinting kit from sparesworld. im crap at spraying so it didnt turn out very well. so im leaving them as a temp measure till i can get hold of some sri lights. i think it was like £12 or summit. and if your any good with a can it would most probs look awsome on your car

    heres a linky http://www.sparesworld.co.uk/acatalo...ing_Spray.html
shouldnt be too difficult mate just mask up what u dont wanna spray. it only a small area u cant really go wrong. it also comes with a removal spray havent tried it to see if it actualy gets it off yet though.
you may find them cheaper elsewhere but thats a rough idea of what u need

I tinted mine mate, using http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/SAVAGE-Tail-Li...item3a5b1eafcf I gave them a slight rub down with fine emery paper, then sprayed both together next to each other so as to get both tinted them same amount. Make sure you're in a warm indoor enviroment or they may go dull. After several light coats I reached the desired tint, then left to dry for a few hours and polished and waxed em. job done.

I don't think the light units split apart without a great deal of messing about, the outside is fine to do and a hell of alot easier. Just take your time and only do light coats. Mine are easily visible to other road users but don't give off much illumination, so I always have a look behind the car before getting in and reversing at night.
