    Vehicle : Vauxhall

    Trim : very

    Engine : Z19DTH

    Year : Nosey

Default Passed my first MOT :D

Went in and had my first MOT today, had a bit of a shock though...

They lifted the car to do the Service first and the rear tyres had worn balled on the inside rim AND they both had a nail in them

So I had to go do a quick tyre change after the service then had the MOT done too. No problems and the emissions test showed lower than standard quoted figures for CO2 levels and I have not CATs or silencers

I was glad to see my local VX has changed to a 0W-30 oil for my car

Was worried about the tyres and clearly need the camber adjusted but I got two second hand tyres put on with 6mm of tread for 70 quid and will sort it asap.

All in all, another good day in the world of me

    P.s. I ordered a new Samsung Galaxy S i9000 phone too

    Congratulations.

Re. the CO2 levels though, they don't test for CO2 (Carbon Dioxide) in MOTs, it's Carbon Monoxide, and there aren't publicly quoted figures for CO for individual cars, just for CO2. Also, the CO2 figures you see quoted (e.g. 199 g/km) are for a simulated drive of 1 kilometre, not for a stationary vehicle with the engine at preset RPM, so you can't compare an MOT CO reading with a manufacturer's claimed CO2 output.

Okay, fair point but... I had an EDS remap on the last 1.9CDTI and the CATS were in and the levels on that one were higher than they are on this one without the cats.
