are you talking remaps??? or "customer enhancements" that vauxhall add when they have a defect or running issue and need to update the engine software to resolve issues

VX offered me yesterday update software to resolve issues for £45.Is it good idea to do it?
Can You tell me something more about remaps?
Vx updates should be free!.. But they normally like the car in having other work in to be done at the same time otherwise they try to charge
Plasma's Tech2 services are now open and able to provide services
I believe you only get free updates whilst the car is in for a service.

as part of routine services most main dealers SHOULD check the vehicle for software updates..... 99.9% of the time this does not occur ....this then means that dependant of the issue that their updating manufacturers relsease NON SAFTEY related recalls and these are completed when the car goes in for its service ...there classified as field service actions or customer satistfaction enhancements

hi is there any way to check if the car requires a update as dads had his vectra for 4 years but has never used a vauxhall dealer for servicing so has never had the chance for a update thanks kevin
