When im driving along the road with no music on I can hear a slight thumping sound coming from the driver side rear wheel. A guy I worked with heard it & thought it might be the wheel bearing that was needing fixed. Can anyone help?

Its hard to explain the sound really. Think ill have to get someone to look at itOriginally Posted by Duncan
sounds like a shock absorber matt maybe
Thats the thing, I have changed to Koni shocks and I still get it. Its a repetitive noise. For example, the faster I go the more constant the noise is. if you know what I mean?Originally Posted by david-bell

Think of the noise you would get if you had, say a stone in your tyre. Its sort of like that but only a vey slight thumping sound. Cant think of a better way to explain it. So it constant, the faster I go, the more frquent the noise.
I thought it might be an anti roll bar bush but it does not sound like it as it goes faster when you go faster, might sound a daft idea but you might have got a tyre that is out of round, what about putting the spare on and seeing if the noise is still there, that would then eliminate the tyre..
worth a try mate, ill have a goOriginally Posted by ed taylor
