    Unhappy more smoke

well yesterday thought we were going to solve prob with smoking(burning oil) on the Z20NET so new air filter, oil filter, fuel filter, ngk spark plugs, mobil 1 oil, the o2 sensor, was changing the exhaust temp sensor but for some reason the new one is twice as long as old one so was a bit unsure so did not fit but going to change it today.

so changed all this and now it;s idling fine but now even more smoke than before even when accelerating.
im realy confused and so was my mechanic mate.
phone vx and a saab place e.c.t and each one said they have never had such a prob with theese engines.
so could it be the only part thats not been fitted yet thats causing oil to burn through exhaust ?
also why would it start within a week of having a new ss exhaust fitted
so heres a vid b4 it started smoking like within a week

heres a vid of before parts got fitted

    and how it is now

Hmm, that is a fair bit of smoke! Definitely not right.

So this only started after having a new exhaust fitted? What sort of system? i.e. full system inc cat?, or was it from the original cat back?

White/grey smoke on a turbo car is often turbo related e.g. seals on turbo gone allowing oil into turbo. Can also be other oil seals in the engine itself.

If you can give a bit more info about what system has been installed i.e. whether original cat is still there or whether they removed that and fitted a new downpipe (with sports cat) directly onto the turbo then that may help narrow it down.

also just been on net looking at differant things that would make it smoke and came accross that a faulty pcv valve can make smoke, anyone got an idea were it is.

I agree with dincan, the most likely cause is a ****ed turbo imo. Have you removed the pipes from the turbo to see if they are full of oil? Some is fairly normal, but lots would be a sign of the oil seals.
Now I need a turbo to keep up!

looks like your turbo mate, how many miles have you done, it looks like the oil inlet valve for the turbo. you can get the turbo serviced, if not there is a new one on flea bay for .......................£350 . best of luck mate
