    take the wing mirror covers off someone know? thanks

    You simply prise the cover off from the inside edge all the way round where it meets/clips onto the black edging of the mirror housing. Hope that makes sense.

    easy way is to pop out the mirror glass carefully then squeeze the 4 sets of back cover clips together that are located behind the glass.

    no you dont!!

    remove the mirror glass. inside there are 4 x retaining lugs these need to be popped out ( when you look into the mirror housing having removed the glasss you should see theses)you should and then there is a small indent pin on the top inside edge of the mirror capping - then you can slowly work your way around the mirror capping till it comes away - take your time and you will be fine

    phewwwwwww!! pmsl i did try john's method once and managed to get the back off but also smashed all the retaining clips from the mirror back.

    Yep, just swivel the glass from the door control until it's pointing as far in towards the car as it can. Then get something like a flat plastic spatula and put it as far behind the glass as you can through the space that is now there. Gently prise it forwards until the glass pops off.
