Smile Transfer from the Ford scene

    Hi everyone,

Thought it about time I introduced myself

Bought a '55reg Vectra SRi 1.9 (120) last week and I am loving every minute of it.

Little dissapointing in the power side of things but thats because I had a Mondeo 2,5 V6 before. However with the price of fuel these days I thought better of it and decided to go down the derv route

Not had the car a week yet and have already ordered a set of HID's for it from HIDs-direct + MTEC 501's for the sidelights.
Will be fitting HIDs in the fogs next month and have just ordered myself a K&N panel filter so will be doing the air intake mod when that arrives hopefully by the end of the week (Thanks to all the superb HOW-TO's on here)

Have already noticed a few members from some of the Mondeo forums (crespo and sdnatlst on M.E.G.) but look forward to meeting most of you kind folk on here over the next following months and possably at some meets.

    Kind regards
    Damo

Welcome matey, good choice of car. With a remap, you'll be laughing all the way 'til your next fill-up (which will take considerably longer than you're used to!)

Your probably driving it like a petrol still. Diesels are slightly different, use the in gear torque rather than the lack of high rev power

True true, high revs wont help you with the CDTi. You will see a great increase in fuel economy then !!

    Welcome too

Many thanks for the warm welcome gents

Your absolutley right, still getting used to the different style of driving but will be looking to either get a re-map or dtuk box in the next couple of months providing SWMBO has no objections

Once again thank you for your kind words

    Damo
