    Default 1st gear rubbish?

just wondering if 1st gear is rubbish in the 1.9 cdti 150 as mine just gets me moving and its time for 2nd also i'm sure it pulled better when i 1st got it 3 months ago there seemed to be a 2nd boost around 2500 rpm this seems to have dissapeared or perhaps i've just got used to it? my last car was a1.9 tbo 405 lol.any advice welcomed (i've a feeling the egr valve may be mentioned)

I think you have nailed that one.....sound very much like the dreaded EGR Valve.

Have you given it a clean out?

    How many miles, etc?

can I just understand better this thread please - I too am unimpressed with 1st gear on the 150 cdti - just to be clear I take it this is nothing to do with EGR that was just referring to the second part of original question wasn't it?
