    Default Canbus - Non Canbus

Just wondering what the difference is between all the different full, part and non canbus. Been reading a few posts and i'm confused as i'm thinking of putting the CD70 Nav in my car.

    Cheers

I always thought full canbus was on newer cars i.e. Facelift and half canbus was for pre facelift.

If you have scroll wheels on your steering wheel then you have full CAN. CD70 can basically only be installed on a car with full CAN, so if you have the siz buttons then you can't.

It just means that the full-CAN cars have more CanBus circuits/modules in them e.g. the radio in a full-CAN car is actually a CanBus module whereas in a half-CAN car it's not and so doesn't fall under the control of CanBus.

Another one is the headliught switch. In a full-CAN car it's a CanBus module, in a half-CAN it's not.

    Simples - sort of! lol

Go and complicate things why don't ya?!

I knew someone had done that in the past but it took a fair bit of doing IIRC, so I just thought easier to reply saying not really possible.
