I got a set of plugs from local vs dealer today.....£40 inc VAT. They're NGK ones'. Does this not seem a bit steep??
2.0 T btw

The full retail price is a bit steep, but they're only £20 from Vauxhall on Trade Club. Halfords can order them in, but at £8 each.
Are they some sort of special plug then? A set for moy old 2.6 b didnt cost anywhere near that, and they have 4 electrodes!
Would the dealer take them back as they're a stock item?
Nothing very special about them, they're just not used on many cars. Might be worth trying a Saab dealer to see if they're cheaper - tell them you need plugs for a B207L.
thats more than i paid for my iridium plugs...
Euro Car Parts Online list some denso plugs for the 2.0T for £2.35 each but I'm not sure how good they are, they also list bosch ones for £5.71 each and some denso iridium ones for £8.41 each.
I know you can get other makes cheaper, but I specificly want OE ones as from experience non gen plugs can cause probs with vauxhalls' like emission light etc.
It just seems quite a high price just for plugs
NGK are the best no doubt but I'm sure you could have got them a lot cheaper than 40 quid if you'd have shopped around. The standard ones don't look anything special tbh.
They are a bit steep retail price from Vx, I got mine at trade price from my dealer. You may be able to get them cheaper elsewhere. There's nothing special about the plugs as such, they're just the model that are suited to the 2.0T. I can't recall the code that's on the plug but do a Google for that and you may find somewhere selling them for a better price.
