superchips have 3 or 4 approved retaillers in your vicinity including teeside motor factors 15-19 station street middlesborough

http://www.superchips.co.uk/locate-dealer expect around 210 bhp from their remap ....maybe someone else more local can recommend someone else

There website quote £430, but I've found a company called bigfishtuning locally who have quoted £199.

Has any one used them before ?

never heard of them... it doesnt mean there not good - try and google them and see what results come back.... the advantage to paying more would be its tested before and tested after ...then you have support on the car and a warranty for 3 years 60k miles SHOULD the map cause any damage.... now can the other company offer that ?????

I haggled Superchips' £430 price down to £350 (but I went with TorquingBHP in the end), so it might be worth asking them to drop the price.

I got a quote off pdtuning of £299, and that's probably the better one but I've gone with bigfishtuning in Stocksley. Their local and and it wont be much hassle for me to get it done there. Its booked in tomorrow night

One more thing,, I've been told that when you get car serviced and the garage carries diagnostics it will wipe the remap?

This sounds like a load rubbish to me.

    Does anyone know ?

IF a Vauxhall garage was to carry out a software update to the engine ECU then yes there is every possibility that this could remove the map as it would be overwritten
but a diagnostics check would only read the relavent information as its a check and not a software update...if they were going to complete any form of software updates then they should be advising you of this PRIOR to completing them and also you should inform the garage that your car has indeed been remapped to prevent them "accidentally" wiping it off
