Depends on the dealer! It should be somewhere around £60+VAT last time I saw a price. May be a tidge more but not much. Then there's the cost to program it to the car - again it depends on the dealer. It only takes 5-10 mins to do it so should cost £15-20 + VAT but some dealers take the pee and will charge half an hour labour for doing it!, or a minimum Tech 2 charge of an equally expensive amount.

I bought my blank key off ebay (for £15 and key cut for £10) and coded it myself. From inserting the blank key, firing up the software and pressing the correct buttons to finally getting a coded key takes about 30-45 seconds!

Its a shame the dealers dont charge by the second otherwise it would have cost under £1!

There's a bloke on ebay does them cut for 45 quid then you just need it programmed (thats assuming you've got the key code of course but the dealers should give you that information FOC)

Im pretty sure you'd have to change the lot unless you bought a brand new ecu from vx and had everything programmed to it
