More tyres....!

I need two new front tyres. At the minute Im running 225/45/18, what are the other sizes I can go with and which are likely to be the best value?

Jim you probably find 225/40/18,s will give you your biggest selection / widest choice.

Should be OK till they are due as I have 215/50 x 17 fronts to run out and 225/45 x 17 rear on my regular SRi rims
BMW do staggered all the time (OK they are RWD) but they are fully acceptable in MOT and such

Uniroyal Rainsport 2's are the way forward matey, awesome tyres and reasonably priced, I wont have anything else now I've had these on mine.

Are we looking at W's or Y's ..... Regular load or XL........ My SRi is Y XL.
