    Default Excellent Vectra Drivers

    Just read some statistics from DVLA

    Since 2005 (excluding Police special vehicles) Vauxhall built 1001 Vectra VXR's

    VXR Hatches (867 Total)
    VXR Estates (134 Total)

    TOTAL = 1001

    According to the DVLA from these 1001 cars built in the UK, there are still 992 in existance

    860 hatchbacks + 3 SORN
    129 Estates

    TOTAL = 992

    So out of 1001 made since 2005... there are now 992 still left...

    In 5 years only 9 have been written off... not even 1%... thats amazingly good for a high performance car.

    Vectra owners must be very good drivers.

    You are going to be sat there watching the replies come in and your head is going to get bigger by the second lol. I think it might have something to do with old men having a mid-life crisis, getting a vectra VXR and driving sensibly.

    Only joking

    I was actually thinking the same thing...

    Although I've driven my VXR on race circuits, Autobahns and RAF airstrip runways, I drive it with mechanical sympathy. Been driving too long to rag my own car to death

    Now I know what it can do... I dont need to do it.... often

    Very true

    I think I've only done 6000 miles in the past 12 months. The VXR is now on 28,005 miles. I reckon that it will only do between 3000-4000 miles in the next 12 months. Still love it though, but only taking it out now and then heightens the experience... if you know what I mean

    I cant unfortunately, the DVLA figures were obtained by Total Vauxhall Magazine and I dont know how they got them from the DVLA

    out of those 9 i wonder if any are stolen unrecovered (shipped abroad)
    or even exported .... so there might be even less than 9 written off
