    Angry what a joke

    well my insurance is up for renewal.and what a joke.im paying £400 now and the cheapest renewal quote ive had upto now is £788.the dearest is £2300.i will be 25 and have 5 year no claims this renewal carnt belive these quotes.can anyone recommend any good insurers.cheers luke

    I take it you've tried Chris Knott and quoted the club code given on here?

    not yet. but ive read on his site and it says he carnt be compitive if you live in some areas. and i live in one of them.

    Ah right. Maybe still worth a call though?

    So has something changed since you took out your policy last year? Have you got a renewal from your current company that you are paying £400 with? If so have they shot up too?

    Have you moved since you took it out last year? if so, given what you say about the area, that may explain why you're getting such high quotes.

    I always use the usual suspects moneysupermarket, compare the meerkat, and gocompare but also if Chris Knott can't be competitive, try Adrian Flux, Firebond and Hyperformance as well.

    the only thing thats change is im 1 year older and 1 more no claims.and the one im with now gave me the £788 renewal they said its all gone up this year.its nearly double this year it takes the ****

    cheers mate will try some .i tryed gocompare the cheepest was £900.

    I know it is frustrating but in general all insurances have risen this year by between 16 and 38% due to lost income from the banking sector fiasco but as usual the muppet who pays? us of course.

    I changed from the Saab a 2.3 Turbo with 250Hp and am paying more for a diesel Vectra? what gives I wonder

    Hmmm..... my renewal for my 02 GSi went down 10% (Direct Line) and my motorbike went down 15% (Equity Red Star).
