With me not being on the forum for a while of late, just catching up on posting some threads now that I'm back on.
It was Cameron's second birthday at the end of April and a person I know who does cakes owed me a favour, so they said they'd make a cake for him. As he is mad on Thomas the Tank Engine I gave that as a theme, thinking that it'd just be your usual round cake with some flat icing on top to make up a Thomas picture/shape. "Oh no!" she said, "I was thinking more 3D."
I thought "Ah!, that could be interesting!" and here is what she conjured up.....
To say I was impressed would be an understatement - absolutely blown away basically. To give an idea of size the baseboard is 12"x12" and it is, or was! lol, a solid fruit cake.
He absolutely loved it - and had no idea he was getting it. Obviously given what I do, I had to make sure I got a proper pic of it so got out the lights and background to capture it for posterity.
Only problem now is when Aidan's gonna expect something similar for his second birthday based on whatever he's into at that time! lol
