    Default Cdti 150 fuel/inlet problem

searched quite a few threads on the forum but cant find anything the same at the moment

Was on my way to collect my new wheels, driving on the motorway in 6th at 70 iirc, all of a sudden management light came on and started throwing smoke out the back

Car then went into limp mode as I pulled over into a petrol station,by this time smoke was coming from under bonnet, turned it off popped bonnet and there was diesel everywhere, also swirl bar has come off completely and now it wont start

Looking at the back of the car it seems the diesel had been coming out the exhaust as the bumper etc is covered in it

    Help

Seems a strange place to get a puddle of diesel, have you checked all the pipes?

As said above mate when I first took the engine cover off diesel was everywhere so couldnt really pin point a leak,I've towed it home and towing it to a garage tomorrow as I took out an extra warranty when I purchased the car, maybe not worth the paper its on but every little helps

Let the warranty company sort it out, thats why you pay them!! Whatever that is, its definately NOT a wear and tear item so don't let them use that as an excuse to wriggle out of paying up.

you've got a bad diesel leak there!, the excess derv is seeping under the swirls(black discs) that would make it smoke fairly bad, you need a new inlet manifold as yours is shot.

Dropped it off at the garage this afternoon so just waiting for a phone call now,we can get hold of the manifold and actuator through work alot cheaper than the dealer price so it aint that bad plus we supply the parts to the garage thats doing the work
