confused need help!!! pad wear censor dash light

changed the front pads. but not the wear censor on the near side wheel. (got one on order) the light on the dash for worn pads is sending me crazy. John said cutting the wires and twisting them back together near the censor would make the light go out. have done that, but the light is still on. anybody got any ideas??? JUST WANT THE DASH LIGHT TO GO OUT..... PLEASE ADVISE..... THANKS!!!!!

Why not just cut the wire? The pads are new so no problem for a while and as the light comes on when the sensor wire hits the disc and goes to earth stop this happening by cutting the wire.

Twisting the wires together will put the light on permantly as its a completed circuit, the wires need to be apart for the light to go out, if you've got a sensor on order why are you stressing, it'll be sorted in a couple of days, you should be watching the road not the dash anyway lol
