    Default Help!! I'm being hypnotised!!

I'm struggling badly. I want an Alfa Brera!!. I keep getting the urge to sell the kids and bankrupt myself for this totally impractical (for a family) car.

I know I can't afford it and I know the wife will divorce me if she doesn't get her conservatory.....but I want one

    Woe is me............!!!!!!

Yes woe will be the name of the game when you're constantly in a Fiat 127 courtesy car when your Brera is in the dealers being fixed

If you want to spend all your days off in the Alfa (fiat) dealers while they repair your car again and again.Go for it.

My mate rejected his GTV a while back due to the fact that it was a pile of s***e.

Looked beautiful, went like stink, but was built out of egg cartons.

Stick with the vec, the Alfas look stunning but it's better to be fairly certain that you might reach your destination without recovery.

My head has just been turned by a beautiful 05 plate 1.9JTD ( Vectra engine ) 156 at a dealer in Reading for 12.995. 1 owner, 8750 miles, black leather, climate, cruise, bluetooth....

Don't even try and talk to me about reliability, My wifes Italian car hasn't missed a beat! My Vectra, I don't even know where it is at the moment and to be brutally honest, I don't care much either.

Have a look on the Alfa website for used cars at Whitequay Alfa, It's the one with the multispoke alloys. I'm sure you'll agree, she's gorgeous.

I hope I'll still be welcome here? At least I'm kind of keeping with GM in a round about sort of way...

Having looked on the Alfa owners forum, it's much like this site and the MG one. Owners angry that their cars are slagged off by people who have never driven them or owned one.

Alfa's are much better than they were and contain many GM parts. I could criticise the dealers, but lets face it, Vx ones aren't much better.

I very much doubt I'd be able to persaude the missus, but I can dream. As long as I stay away from the dealer, where 'impulse' might take over, should be OK.

I think you will find with dealers of any marque its normally down to the individual who works on your car, if he's sloppy you will think the dealer is rubbish, if he's thorough you will leave impressed, I had it at a Vx dealer, they had to do the spill pipes on a B I bought from them, 1st attempt I had oil leaving from the turbo area, when another mechanic came out to see it, he shook his head and said I bet I know who did that, sorry sir we'll sort it out for you dont worry, and he duly did.

As for other cars, I personally would only buy one of five peasantmobiles, either a Vx,Ford,VW,Honda or Toyota, the rest i have no faith in at all with the exception of Hyundai maybe.
