    Default huminggggggggggg

right i have a wheel bearing gone on my cdti vectra, terrible droning can feel it through steering wheel and pedals,so def from the front, heres my question cant pinpoint which side, ive spun wheels but noise of brakes makes it hard to hear any grinding, anyways when i turn left in a sweeping bend noise stops, does that make it passeger side or drivers side at fault,or am i pssing in the wind hoping i can find it this way

I am having a similar problem, i got the noise and can feel it through the pedals from time to time, my first thought was front wheel bearing, but when i put my hands on top of the tyres and give the wheel a tug to check for play in the wheel, both fronts are ok, but the rear o/s has quite a bit of play in it and you can hear it knocking when i tug on the wheel so its going to Master Fit next week for a health check and hopefully they will identify the problem.

The wheel bearing went on our other motor (zafira A) last year.

We were on our way on holiday and the journey was lousy due to the drone.

I spent the entire journey determined that it was the front n/s that had gone.

It was the front o/s !

I guess the only surefire way to tell is excess noise or movement when it's off the floor
