Smile vectra cdti 150 sri- great car!

I thought id put a positive post regarding the above as you mainly only see negatives for this engine. Mine currently has 122k on the clock and its running a dtuk tuning with a k an n filter. I regularly see 53 mpg (mainly motorway use) and its as quick as my friends 180bhp Seat Leon- he agrees too. I bought the car on a 104k and ive had to replace the clutch and flywheel which did cost £900 but itís the only big repair to date and nearly all modern diesels will need a clutch and flywheel at this mileage so I canít really complain. The next car I get will be the same again- just a facelift hopefully an xp11. I have had 42 cars in 13 years of driving and this is the best all round car ive owned although I did like my mk2 Astra sri...

bought my CDTI SRI 150 nearly 16 months ago with 102k , is now at 121k (all motorway miles ).
also running a red dtuk tunning box but my comp states 56mpg
running sweet as a nut with my only bills being MOT , TAX , SERVICING and TYRES ( cleaning EGR every now and then )

I have only owned my 18,500 mile 2008 Sri CDTi 150 for three weeks but I really really love it, the OBC has dropped to a shocking 50.3mpg due to mainly short runs and town driving but the engine is smooth the car is fast enough to get me into trouble, the shape is very pleasing to my eyes much more than Mondeo's and Toyazda's all in I am very very pleased.

I've had mine for almost 2 years. Running a BSR remap. I don't do a lot of miles nowadays but it's never even hiccupped. I don't think much of the ride and noise levels but I can't fault the mechanics. Good mileage and gives lots of folk a surprise if I floor it.
