Climate Control

Is it possible to add climate control into a standard Vectra? I'm pleased with the spec of the Elegance but would have liked Climate Control. I was waiting for an Elite with the right mileage/price to come up for ages with no joy so mine was the next best thing. I'm not too bothered about not getting leather seats but I may change that when I have the cash.

as far as i know,it's not possible to retrofit climate control..Mrs GSi has the standard AC in her Elegance and it's not a lot more different in performance to the Climate..

Dont forget Climate also has the light sensor on the centre of the dash near the sub, so there may be some additional wiring required for that, Other than that there are many similarities in use. The temp display comes up in the multi display on ours - would that need some calibration and I imagine it will need enabling through TechII as well to enable its operation.

Ive got semi climate in mine , can that be upgraded easily ? only thing im thinking is seperate left and right heating controls must mean the system is divided with 2 matrix'es

do you have 2 temperature controls?? one for each side??

Nope , its this , i have auto temp control the temp is marked out in deg'c round the centre dial and i have an A (auto) fan setting on the blower control , only thing it lacks is auto direction control , and seperate side temp control , heres a pic of it .

something more the facelift is equiped with eh...


On the pre-facelift cars, the air is only blown across one set of matrix's..electronic valves in the ducts move the air left/right etc..So upgrading...i'd think it's gonna be a big ask..

Out of all the vectras and signums the design vec is the only car to have the semi climate system , no doubt it will filter about towards the end of the cars life as they start packing them with toys again.

Thats to true mate....The mrs's early Vec is loaded to the max, mine is so so...the old man's 05 plate is stripped BARE!!!!

it's about tuime they started throwing toys in the cars again..I mean, how much can a set of puddle lights cost??

Climates a pain, had it twice, you get cold air in the face the min it sences it's too warm inside, not gr8 on a cold day.
