    Default what rear bumper?

    Hello all!

I don't post much but I am on the forums constantly reading up about everything ;p

I'm the new proud owner of TheGasMan's black Vectra C Elegance

I love it! it looks really cool and it puts my old LS to shame in terms of looks. (my poor LS got hydro locked and the engine siezed,)

Now i'm looking at fitting a stainless steel dual exhaust system to it, but I need a new rear bumper (well i don't -need- one but you know.)

This is a picture of the existing rear of the car, borrewed from thegasman's for sale thread:

I'm going to be removing that tow bar at the same time as the exhaust/bumper install.

now what do you suggest would be a good idea for the rear bumper? - do I just be lazy and grab an SRI insert from the dealers, or do I go for one of these?

I reaaaally like the look of that rear bumper and the quad exausts >.<

What are the thoughts of the forum? - if you honestly think that rear bumper is rubbish then I'll scrap it.

    Thanks,
    Harry.

oh yeah I agree if it's done badly i'll look cheap and crap.

I'm getting the guys at www.rsrtyres.co.uk near me in croydon to do my powerflow stainless steel exhaust system, I was told that the engineer has been doing this type the job for 20 years.

I've gotta find a good body shop near by though to get the bumper done, don't mind paying a little more than usual for a top notch service.

I agree with the "more of a boy racer type bumper" comment.. it's not a standard bumper by far, however the current bumper is very plain and I want something that makes the car look a little more agressive.

My master plan for this car is to make it look like it belongs to a alternative type person. (I.e. somebody who dresses rocky/gothy and listens to heavy metal, as that's who I am ;p) - but at the same time I want it to look high class and professional, not cheap and tacky.

I won't be touching the front bumper though as I think the car looks pretty mean from the front already ;D

    here's the front pic:

My other question about this bumper is the quality of it. Hopefully its not badly made

The other thing to consider is the car may look silly with a mahooooosive rear bumper that sits lower than the skirts and makes the front bumper look small.

you can't slap a rear bumper like that on and leave the front as it is

i really like that rear bumper but the trouble is the rest of the kit would look ****** horrible. leave those sort of kits to the little boys with their saxos etc.....
