    Default EGR valve need some info

    Hi ppl just had a new inlet manifold on my vectra cdti sri 150, im thinking about blanking off my egr valve, but dont know if to blank it off using the restricter plate's from vx/fiat or blank it off completely

    I tried to blank mine off with the Fiat gasket, but ended off with a fault light, so in the end had the EGR software removed from the ECU. Everything seems fine but i'm sure ONE or two members would say it's not a good thing to do.

    Yeah, i've noticed that one or two have managed with the Fiat gasket. Mine must have not wanted to play ball.

    Mine worked with no EML with the Fiat gaskets, but its now completely blanked and running spot on

    There's a reason why Fiat's restrictor plate doesn't fully blank off the EGR gases, and it's nothing to do with putting on a MIL light.

    MAP sensor cannot operate correctly if EGR is fully blanked off.
